From the backstreets of Tamarama to Bondi Beach. Cracking sunrise, Sydney!
.
After the dirty-ass, stormy winter weather last week, I set myself a goal to smash out sunrise photography walks and bodysurfing every single day this week. Got to earn those weekend bevies (and the shhhh… weekday COVID lockdown brews 😁🤦♂️ 🤫) , plus I’m a massive foodie and loves a hot dinner too! 😆🥳
.
On my sunrise photography walks, I predominantly decide on the fly which route I’m going to walk & shoot (I’ll even change mid-walk), as I adore the spontaneity of a life lived in the moment and that’s how I shoot my photography too. It keeps it fresh, makes me feel more present, which in turn builds a feeling of zen and I find that it generates even higher levels of excitement, when I discover and snap so many amazing, spontaneous moments in time (as I did this morning) by going with the flow and just seeing where the mood and shoot takes me.
.
I hit a couple of my favourite secret spots out the back of Tamarama Beach, captured surfers riding beautiful sets into Bronte Beach – shot from the park bench in front of Tamarama SLSC (check out the one with the salmon jumping out of the water in front of the dude about to fall off his surfboard!!! Seriously!!!!!) and on the home stretch, I walked up and over the hill at Mackenzies Point to soak up surfers making the most of every last second of the golden waves at high tide in South Bondi. 2 hours of absolute bliss. This morning was fire!
