Westfield Bondi Junction have created an absolute masterclass in experiential brand activation to celebrate Sydney’s iconic Mardi Gras. Simple, stylish and elegant, this beautiful street art creation taps into the perfect storm of global pop culture, human behaviour, a hallmark event on Sydney’s yearly calendar, is situated in one of Australia’s highest foot traffic locations and blends the physical and virtual worlds to a T.
And the best part? They own advertising/media space and the artwork wouldn’t have cost much at all (in the scheme of things).
The only cherry I would have placed on top is a #MardiGras hashtag in the artwork so that when people upload their content to Instagram or Twitter it drives exponentially increased visibility through digital search, but when everything else has been executed so beautifully, all I really have to say is…
