The weekend is my time and this one just gone, one of my close Sydney-based Melbourne-raised mates, Krys, came south of the border to soak up what Melbourne’s culture has to offer – Killer coffee, live sport, street-art and music.
Friday night we hit AAMI Park for the Melbourne Rebels Super 15 match, where Melbourne’s latest sporting team were beaten by the top of the table South African side, Durban Sharks, despite dominating possession and ample opportunity to come away with victory.
Saturday morning I took Krys out in search of some of Melbourne’s finest coffee, food and service at Di Bella Coffee Roasting Warehouse in North Melbourne, sparked up a conversation with a beautiful, friendly Italian-Australian woman (and even babysat the dogs she was dog-sitting for a while), followed by a stroll around Queen Vic Markets, antipasti lunch + chilling, arvo walk around some of Melbourne CBD key street-art highlights and Eliza Hull live at Northcote Social Club, supporting Hayden Calnin‘s latest EP launch.
Lazy day Sunday, but this is just how I like my city life and here are a few wicked pics from our street-art jaunt + the show.
