I love The Toff in Town.. ❤

This June has seen Ella Hooper and beautiful indie folk project Texture Like Sun performing a dual Tuesday residency at one of Melbourne’s top live venues, The Toff in Town. 3 weeks back, I had friends visiting Melbourne on consecutive Tuesday nights, so I took them down to The Toff to show-off Melbourne’s fantastic live music scene and a few cheeky beers.

Whether it be the club/bar area with dining for a few cocktails or the warm, boutique performance space with candle-lit tables, from the minute you walk in The Toff In Town there’s just a beautiful energy that just makes you feel right at home. Both weeks I headed straight to the bar, ordered myself a delicious pint of local craft beer Thunder Road Brewing Co Autumn Pale Ale and sat back to enjoy the show.

My first time live, I fell in love with Texture Like Sun immediately. Captivated from start to finish… Ella Hooper was showcasing most recent single ‘Häxan’ with boundless energy on stage and it was fantastic to be able to support one of my mates hittin’ the skins for Ella (wicked Melbourne-based drummer Ryan Mano – shameless plug 😃).

Just the perfect evening.. two weeks in a row.. bumping into familiar faces, making new friends, top-line music and a wonderful vibe… The Toff in Town is definitely up there as one of my favourite live entertainment venues in Australia’s music capital. If you’re after live music in Melbourne tonight, you now know where you’re heading.
