What’s good?! Vegas Aces drop a brand new jam for the fans

What’s good?! Vegas Aces drop a brand new jam for the fans.

I had the pleasure of meeting Brisbane boys Vegas Aces through DJ Butcher (Born Fresh Records) earlier in 2012 in Melbourne-town, when the duo were in town promoting their Departure EP.

Like most of the crew I’ve met from Australian hip hop label, Born Fresh, 4th and South African-born Cam Bluff (Vegas Aces), are relaxed, friendly, hard-working hip hop artists with product & mad skillz to back up a calm confidence.

Having toured the country with 360 and then label mates Seven & Mr Hill, an upcoming show with Illy on the Goldyand full length album due in 2013, VA show no signs of easing up.

This one here’s For You

Saskwatch set to take Pyramid Rock by storm! Can’t funkin’ wait!

Posted on Updated on

It’s been a whirlwind year for Saskwatch!

Fronted by beautiful, vocal powerhouse Nkechi Anele, this 9-piece Melbourne soul band has hit Meredith Music Festival, Australasian World Music Expo, Golden Plains, Fed Square Live last summer and the “cobblestone” streets of AC/DC Lane for an extensive 2012 residency at Cherry Bar just to name a few.

The band also released long-awaited, funked-out debut LP Leave It All Behind and two of the tracks from that tasty jam are featured below.

Having seen Saskwatch perform quite a number of times, I’m pretty damn excited to catch their live set down on sunny Phillip Island over New Years at Pyramid Rock Festival alongside the likes of Tame Impala, 360, The Amity Affliction, Xavier Rudd & many many more!

Stay tuned for a bunch of awesome pics & snap up your tix here if you haven’t already. This is going to be a ripper!

Beautiful songstress Esther Holt launches her solo debut ‘Countless Verse’.

I met the Snowy Belfast singer randomly out on the town in Prahran (Melbourne, Australia) one week-night whilst we were both chillin’, in a bar so empty you that could hear the tumbleweeds drifting across the dance-floor. We had a lovely chat that evening, became friends & proud to be plugging Esther Holt’s 1st foray into solo territory.

Delightful soft, angelic vocals & warm piano tones…

Close your eyes & just float away..

Scaramouche: Kick-ass rock perfect for pumpin’… up the workout..

Scaramouche are back on the radar!

This rogue, driving rock band sparked my interest in 2010 whilst working as music supervisor for Ballistyx Snowboard Show (Channel GO!).

My fave tracks, ‘Set Sail’ and ‘Access Denied’, are from the band’s 1st release, the ‘Access Denied’ EP & the band recently released 2nd EP ‘Welcome to the Parlour’.

Kick-ass edgy rock tunes perfect for pumpin’ up the workout, boarding on sweet sweet powder or hittin’ the surf!

Scaramouche are just ace!
