Words can’t describe what Rage Against The Machine’s self-titled album means to me.
Easily one of my top 3 albums of all time (RHCP’s ‘Blood Sugar Sex Magik’ is another), I can still tell you where I was/when it was that I had my 1st taste & my mate thrusting the CD in my hands saying.. “You’ve GOT to listen to this…”. As an angry, unhappy teenager lacking in self-confidence it was an album I cranked as an outlet to my frustrations and certain it lead to more than a few cracks from my parents pounding on my bedroom door.
Even these days despite being the polar opposite in temperament, in rare periods of anger or frustration I can still rely on RATM’s ‘Freedom’ to sate the rage & bring a sense of calm…
